This data set is the spatial documentation of the Coos Bay Wave Energy Project preliminary permit application. The Project is to be sited in the Pacific Ocean in Coos County, Oregon, northwest of the town of Coos Bay. The site is situated within the state boundary in the open ocean about 2.5 miles from shore in water depths that range from 25 to 40 fathoms (45-75 m). The approximate dimensions of the proposed site are 1 mile wide (east-west direction) by 5 miles long (in the north-south direction). It is anticipated that the power transmission cable will be connected to approximately the southern portion of the array and will follow an easterly course to an existing distribution line onshore operated by Cental Lincoln Public Utility District.

The Project is to be sited in the Pacific Ocean in Coos County, Oregon, just north of the Curry County line and southwest of the City of Bandon. The site is situated within the state boundary in the open ocean about 2 to 4 miles from shore in water depths that range from 20 to 40 fathoms (40 - 75 m). The approximate dimensions of the proposed site are 3 mile wide (east-west direction) by 7.8 miles long (in the north-south direction). The final installed wave facility will require significantly less area than that proposed in the preliminary permit.

The Porject is to be situated in the Pacific Ocean at the mouth of the Umpqua River. The site is situated commencing one quarter of a mile to the west of the terminus of the existing jetties at the mouth of the river, and extend eastward to the breakwaters of the Salmon Harbor Marina, all wihtin Douclas County , Oregon.

The Project is to be sited in the Pacific Ocean in Lincoln County, Oregon, south of the town of Newport and north of Waldport. The site is situated in the open ocean about from 3 to 6 miles from shore in water depths that range from 20 to 35 fathoms (36 - 60 m). The approximate dimensions of the proposed site are 3.5 mile wide (east-west direction) by 5 miles long (in the north-south direction). It is anticipated that the power transmission cable will be connected to approximately the central portion of the array and will follow an easterly course to an existing distribution line onshore operated by Cental Lincoln Public Utility District.

Polygon file consisting of approximately 199 square miles identified by Ocean Power Technologies (OPT) as areas attractive for Wave Energy. OPT believes that the areas listed would be sufficient to promote responsible wave energy development within the Territorial Sea through the 2025 time-frame. Polygons have not been clipped to remove the area between the coastal baseline and the 25 meter depth eastern boundary of the zones.

The site is situated within the state boundary in the open ocean about 3 miles from shore in water depths that range from 25 to 35 fathoms (45-65m) of depth. The approximate dimensions of the proposed site are 1 mile wide (east-west direction) by 5 miles long (in the north-south direction). It is anticipated that the power transmission cable will be connected to approximately the north-south center of the array and will follow an easterly course to the outlet of the existing waste water discharge pipe from the now closed International Paper Plant.
