Central Coast Rocky Habitats Workshop

The Oregon Coastal Management Program is hosting a public workshop series to develop site management plans for rocky habitats that were designated in 2023. On August 6th, 2025, the workshop was focused on learning about plans for two protected rocky habitats on the central coast: Fogarty Creek Marine Conservation Area and Cape Foulweather Complex Marine Conservation Area.

The plans will support communities in Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, and Otter Rock to study and protect vital rocky habitats. Participants discussed implementation actions and strategies for building capacity in communities, Tribes, and government agencies who are working to implement rocky habitat management strategies.

Other meeting materials are available in the right-hand column. See the Rocky Habitat Planning page for more information.
